Default Suggestion: Quest Aid System

Probably been brought up, but I couldn't find it:

Have an in game feature that allows you to see another players active quest so that you can see what is needed and can greater help them. I have been helping a friend with the game and have been questing with him, and there was several occasions where he didn't know how to interpret the quest and we went in circles for a while. It would just allow the person who has the quest to select it as active, then the rest of the team could view said quest and see what parts are left to do and so forth. Just and idea.

Well the way it is now, your friend has to have at least enough intelligence to read his quest log and communicate with you. So, I'd leave it the way it is.

Always a naysayer.. -_-

It would be so much handier and practical.

It's not so much a question of his intelligence or how he interprets this as much as it's a time saver. I see it being used for higher level areas as well. I assume many people would enjoy being able to see the quest they are helping someone out with rather than just blindly following someone. If you can see the points of interest as well, it definately helps.

Just at a glance, I was thinking that this was going to be just some weak form of the Party Search, but it's not. I'd say that a good way to implement this would be to split the Quests window into a couple of tabs, just like the Hero window, and have one side for Personal quests and another side for Group quests, which could contain any quests that are active in any group member's list.

It would also be more practical to work with someone that has an above-average intelligence in the matter at hand and could communicate at that level.

Nice idea Shayne Hawke. Until they implement that feature (most likely not to happen , but let's keep this thread optimistic) I would recommend that you use the command /wiki 'name of the quest', that's what I do when playing with my newbies friends. It really helps a ton. Have fun playing with your half brain-dead friend :P.

He's only 3/4's brain but yeah, I showed him wiki but still I would like to have the option of just taking a look at what still needs to be done rather than have them type it out and so forth. I like the tab idea and though it is unlikely this will be implemented, I'm sure many wouldn't mind having this feature.

That would be nice.

But to reduce the load, the currently selected quest should be enough.

The Party search panel could search the players that have the same quest you have selected too.
